The US Census is a deep resource with valuable information for current and prospective business owners.

This seminar will teach you how to raise your awareness of the local community and local competition, research the potential for specific site locations, and other uses. Attendees will learn:  

1) Basic navigation of the Census website
2) How to access data available from the Economic Census, Demographic and Economic Surveys
3) Demonstration of Census Business Builder, an easy to use business tool allowing quick access to create a local market profile for inclusion into your Business Plan!

You are welcome to bring your laptop, tablet or other device to work alongside the presenter.

Lia Bolden, presenter,  is a dynamic speaker with a background in business and as a former business owner, with over 14 years’ experience with the US Census Bureau.

Instructions: Note: Parking is very limited in the area. We recommend public transportation or a rideshare alternative. The 12th Street BART station is close by.
