There is considerable demand for TFG services. Successful applicants will meet all of the requirements outlined below.
- Location: Clients must be based in one of the 14 counties of the Northern CA SBDC Network. These counties include the following: San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Mendocino, Humboldt, or Del Norte. (Note: Companies may be incorporated in another state - like Delaware - but must be registered in CA in one of the 14 counties noted here. International companies - see note below.)
- Technology: TFG clients are the creators of new technology or use novel combinations of existing technology. Technology may also drive the business model of TFG clients even if the company itself is not a technology company. (Note: Technology companies from various industries are welcome to apply.)
- Intellectual Property: TFG clients possess proprietary and defensible technology that may be legally protected.
- Growth Potential: TFG clients are evaluated on their potential for growth both in terms of job creation potential and funding needs.
*A note for international companies: Your company must be in the process of incorporating in the U.S. (e.g. Delaware C-Corporation) AND must be registered in California AND have your primary place of business located in one of the 14 counties listed above. If your company is already registered and established in the U.S., your primary place of business must be located in one of the 14 counties listed above.
